Everyone has a favorite chocolate chip cookie. Some people like thin and crispy. Some people like them crunchy. Maybe you like them humongous...or prefer to have jillions of tiny little cookies that you can throw around like chocolate chip confetti to celebrate life's many achievements. I personally prefer my chocolate chip cookies to be thick and chewy and overflowing with delicious bits of chocolate heaven.
These are my absolute favorite cookies to make with my children. Mostly because they are my favorite cookie to eat. And also because they are reallllly easy and quick to make.
That might have come out wrong.
Actually it didn't.
I adore my children. And I like baking. But to be perfectly honest...I don't so much love the mix of the two. Just washing their hands alone takes eleventy hundred years. I have three girls and if one of them helps, they all help. And they each have to drag a chair over to the sink. And then they have to fight about the fact that not all of their chairs fit at the sink at the same time. So they have to fight over who gets to put their chair in front of the sink first and someone (all of them) end up crying because compromise apparently hasn't been invented yet so we end up doing some kind of weird dance where I'm trying to hold three children up to the sink at the same time while also washing hands, pushing the soap dispenser, reaching the towel and singing their favorite silly song all at the same time.
It's not ideal.
But in the end... THESE COOKIES. They make it ALL worthwhile. I PROMISE!!
I mean...do you see this? THICK, CHOCOLATELY GOODNESS that you can just hold in your hand. (And then shove into your face because...CHOCOLATE.)
