White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Soft and chewy, full of warm spices and buttery oats, with just enough sweet cranberry sass and melty white chocolate to make you feel like you’ve got your life together (even if you don’t).

Okay, full disclosure: I wasn’t planning to make cookies today. I was going to be productive. I had a list. There were goals. But then the cranberries looked at me with those little raisin-ey eyes and whispered, “What if… you didn’t?”

So I didn’t.

And thank goodness, because these cookies turned out to be exactly the kind of magical kitchen accident that deserves its own parade. They’re soft. They’re chewy. They’re the perfect mix of tart and sweet, hearty and delicate. Basically, they’re the cookie equivalent of wrapping up in a fluffy blanket, lighting a candle, and deciding you can survive this week after all.

Easy Soft and Chewy Snickerdoodle Cookie Recipe

Soft and chewy snickerdoodle cookies

Summer is ending. We just have to make it through the days of buying-all-the-wrong-school-supplies-and-forgetting-all-the-right-ones and then we can coast happily into the after-school-snack-season. These cookies make the best after school snacks. Mostly because they are great for freezing and baking later. Which means you can completely forget snack time until they walk in the door. Or you could just eat these late at night and not share them with anyone else. It's your call.

The best quick and easy pumpkin chocolate chip cookie recipe!

There are very few things in this world that all four of my children can agree upon in the exact same moment in time. What movie to watch is definitely not one of them.

They also cannot agree on the time after which all yelling and screaming should end each night. And by that, I mean...I wish it would stop at 10am or even 9:33am. I'm not picky. Anywhere in that window would be absolutely fantastic. But they yell about not yelling well into the hours where I wish I was magically transported to a mystical island called Jamaica where I could lay on the dreamy white sand and not hear any arguing ever again for the rest of the history of ever.

One thing they can agree on -- pumpkin chocolate chip cookies are delicious.

BUT...

And this is a big one.

Best Ever Triple Chip Chocolate Chip Cookies

Gooey multi chip chocolate chip cookies

Everyone has a favorite chocolate chip cookie. Some people like thin and crispy. Some people like them crunchy. Maybe you like them humongous...or prefer to have jillions of tiny little cookies that you can throw around like chocolate chip confetti to celebrate life's many achievements. I personally prefer my chocolate chip cookies to be thick and chewy and overflowing with delicious bits of chocolate heaven.

Chewy White Chocolate Chip Molasses Cookies

Baked Molasses Drop Cookies with White Chocolate Chips Recipe

If you know *anything* about me... you'll know I love cookies. All kinds of cookies. I like homemade cookies straight out of the oven and store bought cookies that have been in production for months before coming into my home. (I'm not proud of this...it's just the way it is. Don't judge me.) (Okay.... judge if you want....but at least stick with me.) I love decorated cookies and drop cookies and no-bake cookies. My favorite cookies are the kind that other people make for me, but these molasses cookies might be a close tie.
